Book a one on one ONLINE appointment with a research librarian to discuss your literature reviews, systematic reviews, and advanced searching techniques. We are great online & are happy to meet you via Skype, Teams, Collaborate, Webex, Zoom - or just let us know -  and we can make a face to face session and meet you ONLINE, or if you provide your preferred phone number on the booking form; we are happy to call you at the appointed time. Lastly, you can book a Library induction session tailored to HDRs.

Manage and analyse your information

Flinders University can help you manage your references and analyse your information,

EndNote

EndNote is a bibliographical management software package. You can use it to:

Collect and organise all your references in one place.

Manage the PDFs and other files of all the full-text sources you download.

Automatically format and update the references in your assignments (Cite While you Write).

Share your Endnote Library

It's a complex program so learning the ins and outs of EndNote can take a while. But the time you put into learning EndNote will be time saved when it comes to doing your referencing.

IBM SPSS

IBM SPSS is a computer application which provides statistical analysis of data. It allows for in-depth data access and preparation, analytical reporting, segmentation and predictive modelling. More analytical power can be added by using optional IBM SPSS modules.

Your local computing support staff can assist with installation of the product on your workplace computer. Support for home computers is not provided.

The University employs a full-time statistical consultant to assist staff, HDR and honours students in areas of their research that require the use of statistical methods. His brief is to assist clients to help themselves rather than to conduct either research or analysis on their behalf. Details are available here.

NVIVO

Nvivo is a tool to help you analyze qualitative data. The University provides technical support  and training.
