How to borrow and return

Borrow

1. ​Scan your student ID card beneath the barcode scanner under the touchscreen.
2. On the touchscreen, select Borrow and then select Laptop.​
3. An available locker will light up.​
4. Open the locker door and disconnect the laptop from the charger before removing it.​
5. Ensure the locker door is properly shut.
   

​Return

1. Scan your student ID card beneath the barcode scanner under the touchscreen.​
2. On the touchscreen, select Return.​
3. Open the allocated locker and plug the laptop back in to complete the return. If the laptop is not plugged in, the system will not recognise that the laptop has been returned.​
4. Shut the locker and press Finish on the touchscreen.​

Laptop conditions of use

• Each Flinders University student may borrow one laptop at a time.
• Laptops must only be used at City Campus and cannot be removed from the building.
• Loan period is a maximum of 6 hours. All laptops must be returned within 6 hours of being borrowed or when City Campus closes for the day, whichever comes first.
• All usage must comply with the University’s Acceptable Use of Technology Procedures.
• Replacement fees apply for laptops that are not returned or are returned damaged.
