A number of donors have contributed to the Badge Collection, which date from approximately 1914.
In 1976 Mr. J. Chittleborough donated a collection of lapel badges worn by Flinders students during the period 1967-1976.
In 1977 Mr. F.E. Doerr donated a collection of lapel badges worn during the period of the First World War.
In 1988 Miss A. Reid donated a collection of lapel badges worn during the First World War and the 1920s, plus a few examples from the 1930s and 1940s – lapel badges and buttons.
In 1990 Ms Kerry Lovering donated to the Library the 'Kerry Lovering Badge Collection', containing badges from the 1970s and 1980s. The themes include women's issues, ALP politics, and conservation, 1914 to date.
In 1990 Vice-Chancellor Prof Lovering donated several badges to the Library.
In 2017 Angela Bannon donated several badges to the Collection on behalf of John Bannon.
Further items continue to be added to the Collection through the kind donations of a number of individuals.
