Read & Publish agreements (a form of Transformative agreement) bundle read access with open access publishing charges, enabling our researchers to publish their articles open access in selected journals without paying an Article Processing Charge.
In 2026, Flinders University has Read & Publish agreements with 20 publishers. For all publishers listed below, you can check which journals are included using our searchable journal list.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Read & Publish agreement, you must:
Caps
Three of our Read & Publish agreements include a cap, meaning there is a limit on how many articles can be made open access each year under the agreement. In 2026, capped agreements apply to AIP Publishing, Ovid LWW (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins), and Wiley (uncapped for hybrid journals; capped for fully open access journals). Check the current cap status using the searchable journal list.
Included journals
Not all journals that are published by a participating publisher are included in our Read & Publish agreements. You can confirm journal eligibility by using the searchable journal list
Other charges
While the Read & Publish agreements allow for an Article Processing Charge to be waived, other fees may still apply.
Checklist
Complete our Read & Publish agreement checklist to ensure you meet the conditions of an agreement.
Some publishers also offer separate discounts on Article Processing Charges outside our Read & Publish agreements.
