Jacobite Collection

A collection of books and pamphlets relating to the Jacobite rebellion, dating between 1617-1881, and comprising 110 volumes. The rebellions, which occurred between 1688 and 1745, aimed to restore the House of Stuart to the thrones of Scotland and England. The majority of the collection was purchased from Stanley Noble in 1965.
