This growing collection currently comprises of over 2000 twentieth century books and periodicals, donated by Professor Ronald Klein who teaches at the Hiroshima Gakuen University in Japan. The books include works from a wide range of Asian and African countries, both written in English and translated into English from their original languages. Further donations are still being added to the collection to date.
The donated books will be catalogued and available for loan on the open shelves in the Central Library. Each book has a special bookplate reading "This book is one of 3,000 books and publications donated to the Library for the Centre for Research in the New Literatures in English (CRNLE) Collection by Professor Ronald Klein."
