Flinders University Library provides an environment that is conducive to study and welcoming to all users.
Colour-coded signs indicate the levels of noise acceptable across different areas of the library.
Library users are expected to be respectful of others by selecting an area that best fits their study needs.
The library may alter the colour coding (and the acceptable noise level) of an area to accommodate particular events. Such changes will be clearly signed.
If a user is experiencing excessive noise in a designated area, they are encouraged to report the disturbance to the nearest Information Desk.
Library staff and Flinders Security will ask disruptive or noisy patrons to move to a different area of the library, or to leave the building altogether.
