Indian Indentured Labour Collection

Accessing collections Special collections Indian Indentured Labour Collection

The Indian Indentured Labour Collection contains copies of primary sources from the 1850s to 1950s and secondary sources from the 1960s to 1990s. It includes printed and photocopied materials and microfilms, sourced from various archives in the UK, India and elsewhere. There is no original material in the collection. A card index to the collection is available.

The collection was presented to the Library in 2005 by Dr Lance Brennan. The material was collected by Lance Brennan, John McDonald and Ralph Shlomowitz during an ARC project, and donated to Special Collections in July 2005.
