Flinders University Library offers a variety of support to help you use Library resources and find the information you need.
Being able to find and use information appropriately is a vital skill at university. You will be expected to use a variety of high quality and credible sources of information.
But don’t worry if you don’t know how to do this - the Library is here to help. Below you will find links to a suite of guides we have created and remember, you can always contact the library if you need help.

Search Support request
Do you still have a question after exploring our search guides? You can contact the Library for help using the Search Support Request form below.
Librarians can assist with the following:
- Guidance on where to search.
- Advice on developing an effective search strategy, including how to identify keywords and relevant subject headings.
- Assistance with adjusting your search to obtain improved results.
- Assistance with identifying search syntax when using different databases (for example, when translating searches).
- Technical review of your master search (for example, use of connectors, syntax, and search fields).

Librarians provide support in line with the University's Student Academic Integrity Policy. This may limit the assistance we can provide regarding aspects of your search which are assessed. If this occurs, we will direct you to your topic coordinator or supervisor for advice.
