Richard Conyers was a Ph.D. student in English at Flinders University at the time of his early death in 1998. He had been a distinguished student, winning the Ann Flaxman Prize for Honours English in 1995. His doctoral research was on Ezra Pound and William Langland.
In 2002, Mr and Mrs Conyers, Richard Conyers' parents, donated a part of his book collection related to his research to the Library to be kept as a special collection in his memory. The books are mostly 20th century literature.
