Flinders University are required to display the following messages when sharing copies of material for teaching purposes.

 

Notice for copying images and text

This notice must appear either before or at the same time that textual material or images are being communicated to students, which must be done in line with University Guidelines. If you are including images in a PowerPoint presentation, use the University’s PPT Template  which already has the copyright notice included within the slides.

All text-based readings must go through a Reading List, which will have the notice attached by library staff.

Use this notice when making copyright material available under section 200AB, where instructed by the Copyright Librarian.

It must be prominently displayed on each print or electronic copy. If the material is being made available electronically, the notice must appear either before or at the same time as the material being communicated appears on the screen.

Display these notices either on or in a position that is visible from equipment (e.g. photocopiers, scanners, computers, video recorders) in the Library that can make copies of material.

The notice is prescribed so the wording must not be altered and must be displayed in A4 size.

​Equipment that can reproduce literary and artistic works only (i.e. scanner, printer, photocopier)

Equipment that can reproduce audiovisual or literary/ artistic works (i.e. computer)

Equipment that can reproduce audiovisual works only (i.e. DVD player)

Use the second combined notice when in doubt, or when placing a notice in an area with a variety of equipment.
